Canadian actress. The village in which she was born, Spalding in Saskatchewan, Matchett began her career in theater after moving to Ontario. The mid nineties saw her begin her career with Canadian TV. She then made the move to the United States and starred in the show The Secrets of Nero Wolfe Invasion 24 Hours Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip Ambulance Earth. In the series, she played Last Conflict. She was awarded the Gemini Award by the Canadian television series The Department of Wet Cases in recognition of her role. The show also featured her as the ex-wife of one the characters on many seasons of the television show Impact. In 2010 she played the character of Joan Campbell in the TV show Covert Operations.
