Kristin Fisher was added to CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent team in July of 2021. In her role as Space and Defence Correspondent at CNN, she's responsible to cover everything ranging from NASA and its newly created Space Force up until commercial space companies, and even the rise and development of space tourism. Kristin is the daughter of two NASA Astronauts. Kristin has grown up in the world of space and covered the Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. In that period, Kristin also reported on impeachment hearings for President Trump and the 2020 presidential election as well as efforts of two administrations in order to control the Coronavirus Pandemic. In addition, she traveled with President Trump and Vice President Biden extensively. It included a secret trip to Afghanistan. Kristin was a local television reporter for Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., in which she was awarded an Emmy Award for her work as a "one-man-band" reporter before joining CBS in the year 2015. Kristin's skills as a camerawoman has led her to create Field Mouse Films which specialized making documentary-style videos for clients of corporate nature, such as Uber Hotels & Resorts and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Boston University. Her husband and three year-old daughter live in Washington, D.C.
